However, as he started his homebuying journey, he was unsettled by the amount of spam listings on portals, fake property info and incessant broker follow-ups.
He reached out to a broker referred to him by a close friend. He wanted to move into the new place right away so he urged his broker to find a resale 'ready to move' option that met his needs. Bingo! He found a house in his preferred location and a layout that he absolutely adored. However, as he was walking into the negotiation process, he realized that he had no idea of its actual market value. Ketan's broker didn't do much to guide him either. Luckily, Ketan was approached by another broker who informed him that the seller was keen on selling and would settle for much lesser than the quoted price. He was right! Ketan got his dream home within his budget.
As Ketan mulled over his own homebuying journey, he realized a couple of things- he had a lot of help from Vikram and many of his industry colleagues. Also, he got lucky when he met a broker who understood his requirements and helped him bag the deal! But not everyone gets this lucky.
